Rita was born and raised in Southeastern ID. Being the 2nd to the youngest of a very large family, hard work was a daily event; there was always something that needed to be done. This strong work ethic has spilled over into her real estate business. Rita has built her real estate career on hard work, consideration for her clients and dedication to provide excellent service. Because of this, Rita has excelled in real estate sales.
Real Estate is an ever-changing industry, market ups and downs, Mortgage industry changes, Title issues, technology changes, advertising woes, etc. Every day in the industry brings a different situation with something new to learn. Rita has made a point to stay current with the new laws, and new techniques in the industry. Not only does this help her serve her clients and customers better it gives her a support system and a knowledge base to draw from. Rita obtained her Real Estate license in the spring of 1994, within the first year of practicing Real Estate Rita earned her GRI (Graduate Realtor Institute) designation. This designation requires a licensee to have additional training in Real Estate Law, Policies and Procedures and Real Estate Finance. In 1997 Rita earned her Brokers license in the state of Colorado. In 1998 Rita moved with her family to Idaho Falls ID and immediately started working on obtaining her CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designation. This requires not only additional training but a history of successful real estate transactions. During this same time she was studying to obtain her State of Idaho Brokers license. Both were obtained in 2002 along with her e-Pro certification (Internet Professional). With her desire to enhance her industry in 2003 Rita (along with several others) started the local chapter of the Woman’s’ Council of Realtors. This is a national organization with its major focus on Educating Realtors (Yes men are very welcome here). Having gained so much from this experience Rita decided to participate in the Idaho Association of Realtors “Leadership Academy: in 2004. This is a yearlong program teaching public speaking, team work and community leadership. Wanting to provide the utmost service to her clients and customers Rita owned and operated “The Falls Real Estate” 2004 thru spring 2007. During this time Rita up to 5 licensees working for her company. As rewarding as this was Rita decided to go back to what she enjoyed and that was being with her buyers and sellers. “Running a real estate company was very rewarding, but I was losing touch with not only my buyers and sellers but what was really happening in the market” “You can’t really know what someone is looking for without getting to know them on a personal level, in order to do this you must spend time with them” . So Rita returned to “selling” for another company (High Desert Realtors) in the spring of 2007. Rita has served on many different committees and boards for the local and state Realtor Association. This includes President of the local Association 2006, President of the local chapter of the Women's Council of Realtors 2004, served on the State Legislative Committee 2004-2006 and Minimum Services Task Force 2006.
